Cushion Cover Kit from 42 Custom Fabric

Our Cushion Cover Kit includes everything you need to sew your very own case, complete with zippered opening. Use it to create a case for an 18 inch throw cushion, which will look perfect on your sofa or in your crafting space.

Please note: you are purchasing a kit to sew your own zippered cushion cover, not the finished cushion. You will need to buy a cushion pad separately.

This kit contains two pieces of our Steampunk Insectarium fabric in classic cream and black depicting a variety of insects with a steampunk motif. Both pieces are identical, so the the cushion will be the same on each side when sewn.

Kit contains:

• Two 46cm squares of fabric
• One zipper
• Instructions

Just add:

• One 18” cushion pad/insert
• Sewing machine
• Zipper foot

This is a great project for a beginner. Even if you have never installed a zipper before, our straight forward instructions will have you whipping up your case in no time. Instructions are included with the kit, or read our blog post here.

The fabric included with the kit is our heavy woven cotton. It is a lovely thick, canvas weight cotton which is perfect for cushions, bags, curtains and other items. You can order a swatch here and see the quality for yourself before purchasing. They are cut to the right size for an 18″ cushion, although you can cut them smaller still if you wish to make a smaller cushion. We recommend the use of pinking shears if you do so. Also included with the kit is a zipper, ready for you to sew with.

Keep the kit for your own use, and sew up a lovely cushion case for your home. Our Cushion Cover Kits also make great gifts, either sew up the cushion case and give it to someone, or give the kit to a sewist as a gift for them to sew themselves.
