Custom Designed Seam Tags

Custom designed seam tags for your handmade clothing business, printed on one metre of knitted jersey fabric. This is a flexible and affordable way to include full colour branding in all of your clothing.

Because knitted fabric does not fray you do not need to worry about the raw edges. Plus it is soft and comfortable within the clothing when worn.

You can choose which base you prefer for your labels:

• Cotton Spandex
• Lightweight Cotton Spandex
• Organic Cotton Spandex
• Double Brushed Polyester

Mix and match options, you can have half a metre of age tags and half a metre of logo seam tags for branding printed on the same metre.

Seam tags are fully customisable and can include:

• Logo for branding
• Size tab or age label
• Fabric composition labels
• Flag label placed in the side seam of your garment, displaying your brand name or logo
• Made in the UK (or any other country) labels including a flag
• End fold labels for stitching flat into the garment
• Garment face labels with your logo for appliqueing on for branding

Additional Information

Seam tags are designed to any size, to suit your logo or included text. Label size may vary slightly due to the stretch nature of the fabric and the printing process.

Fold over tab style labels are designed with the intention that you fold over and serge within your seams. Garment face labels can just be appliqued onto the clothing using a small zig zag or decorative stitch around the edge. Seam tags allow you to create a professional looking finish.

Sent to you uncut to allow you to prewash them before use if you wish to. A guide for cutting is included with guidelines around all labels.

Quantity of seam tags varies per metre of fabric depending on size of graphic. Seam tag size is generally led by the size of your graphic but are generally around 2-3cm. We do not advise printing them any smaller as the detail may not show clearly due to the stretch nature of the fabric and the printing process. It does depend on how detailed your logo is though. We will offer guidance whilst creating your proof or please message us to discuss prior to ordering if you wish. As a guideline, the quantity will be greater than 330 seam tags. We can give you an estimate when you approve your proof if required.

If you wish to try some knitted fabric labels before purchasing your own custom designed labels, you can order a strip of either our general purpose handmade care labels or our side seam labels.

When you place your order we will contact you via email to begin the design process. Please ensure that you have our email address in your safe list. We will then work with you to create a design that you are happy with. We ask you to confirm the final proof before we send it to our printers. As the seam tags are custom printed with our printer, they are subject to our standard preorder lead time which is 8-10 weeks. Lead time commences from the date that you approve your final proof.

Please Note

Please be aware that due to the print process, digital printed fabric can contain small flaws along the length of the fabric. For our own orders we ensure that we order extra over to account for this and cut out any flaws. However with labels, the small order quantities prevent this so please bear this in mind. Small flaws may include such things as small white specks, some small amounts of ink transfer etc, none larger than a 10p piece. We would inspect the fabric prior to sending and if there are larger flaws that affect more than a very small grouping of labels (more than four) then a seconds discount of 10% off per half metre affected will be offered.
